Wicked Cold
Although the temps have risen into the upper 20's from their negative marks last week, the fish seem to have remained in the negative for consuming my baits. After a 20 minute walk today, I drilled 5 holes, fished for 2 hours and ended up catching 2 tiny perch. A front was moving in as I arrived with 15+ mile per hour winds blowing at my back. Initially I thought, "what am I doing here?" but I realized how soothing freezing, howling winds can be when we are dressed warm enough. The howling almost brings about a sense of musical self. No fish for supper, but another great experience in the Northland.
